1 Chronicles 17:8   (NAS)

And I have been with you wherever you have gone, and have cut off all your enemies from before you; and I will make you a name like the name of the great ones who are in the earth.

 I have been with you wherever you have gone, and I have cut off all your enemies from before you. Now I will make your name like the names of the greatest men of the earth.

 
Wherever your life has taken you, the Lord God has been there.  With each step you have taken, you have been accompanied by the Spirit of the Living God. When you have moved from one place to another, Yeshua the Messiah went with you.
 
Many times you have come face to face with those who have been hostile to you and the Lord was with you as you confronted them. He is the One Who cut off your enemies, causing them to fail in their evil plots against you. He turned them away from you; so that you had to look back to see them.  Ultimately He destroyed and eliminated them, making you free from their onslaughts.
 
Now you are in the place that Jesus has appointed and ordained.  He has fashioned and transformed you, setting you as a sign before others of His magnificent grace.  He is making your name famous and has given you a good reputation.  Since you have distinguished yourself in His Son, He has placed your name on a list with the great ones.
