3/8/14 Haggai 2:7-9 The Lord Will Shake the Nations, But You Will Have Peace

 Haggai 2:7-9 (NAS)

And I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations; and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD of hosts. The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ declares the LORD of hosts. The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,’ says the LORD of hosts, ‘and in this place I shall give peace,’ declares the LORD of hosts.

              Haggai 2:7-9 (NIVUS)

I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,’ says the LORD Almighty. The silver is mine and the gold is mine,’ declares the LORD Almighty. The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,’ says the LORD Almighty. ‘And in this place I will grant peace,’ declares the LORD Almighty.

Almighty God, the creator of all things, knows each and every nation, each and every person. He sees their deeds and observes what they prize. He is the One qualified to judge them, for His judgments are right and true. Those who have turned against Him are the ones that He has promised to shake and they will quake in fear of Him.

Then the Lord of Hosts, He who prevails against the enemy, will take all they hold precious, beautiful, and pleasing. This wealth, although in their possession, is not really theirs.  The Lord God has declared that all of the silver and gold belong to Him.  He has made everything that men hold precious--those brilliant things that they long for and with which they ornament themselves

He gives these to you, His child. Since His house is filled with abundance, you will be satisfied.  From His riches, He will bless you with honor, dignity, and glory; you shall be heavy with all of the wealth that Jehovah bestows on you.

He shall cause you to have more glory than previously; you will shine with more splendor than even the temple of Solomon. He has raised you up and you have been established as His dwelling place. He bestows on you the peace that only He can give. You are now whole and uninjured, resting continually in His Shalom (peace)!
