1/20/14 Isaiah 12:2-5 God Is Your Salvation

 

 Isaiah 12:2-5 (NAS)

Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; For the LORD GOD is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation. Therefore you will joyously draw water from the springs of salvation. And in that day you will say, "Give thanks to the LORD, call on His name. Make known His deeds among the peoples; Make them remember that His name is exalted. Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things; Let this be known throughout the earth.

 

              Isaiah 12:2-5(NIVUS)

Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. In that day you will say: "Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done, and proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing to the LORD, for he has done glorious things; let this be known to all the world.

   
The Lord Jehovah is your salvation. He is your deliverance, welfare, prosperity, and victory.  He makes you bold, secure, and confident. You do not need to fear or dread anything; for you can trust Him completely.  He is your physical strength, your mental strength, your social strength, and your political strength.  He causes you to prevail.  He has given you a new song of praise; in fact He is your song!
 
Your life is full of joy and gladness and you display it without shame.  You draw from the Living Water within you continuously. It springs up within you and flows out from you like a fountain.
 
You boast in the Lord, giving Him praise and thanks.  You proudly and boldly confess His name.  You loudly call His name, proclaiming His fame and His glory.  Your speech preaches a memorial to Him; He has appointed and ordained you.  He has established and planted you firmly like a tree beside many waters.  In Him you are fixed and cannot be moved.
 
You declare and make known His good deeds among the nations to those who are held in the dark. You remind them that His name is to be lifted up and that there is safety and prosperity in that name.
 
So continue to sing and make music to Jehovah. He has done great and excellent things for you.  He has shown you His majesty and lifted you up to His level.  Continue to make Him known in all of the earth; for that is your calling and your charge!
