10/28/13 Deuteronomy 10:12 Fear the Lord, Walk in His Ways, and Love Him

Deuteronomy 10:12 (NAS)

And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require from you, but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all His ways and love Him, and to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,
                Deuteronomy 10:12 (NIVUS)

And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul,

From the beginning of time, Jehovah the one True God has desired a strong people for Himself. He, therefore, created Israel, a prince of God and gave him the power to contend with His enemies.  God made Israel strong enough to prevail against everyone who came against him.

You have been adopted into His family and His nation and there are some things that He requires of you. He simply asks you to honor, revere, and respect Him, for He is an awesome God. You are astonished daily by His nature and works.

Jehovah desires to direct your life and requests that you walk in His ways.  You should order your life, so that you habitually follow His word, treading the path that He has laid out for you. He will lead you throughout your life and up until the day you die.  You have nothing to fear in His guidance.

Now you love the Lord your God and you walk with Him as a friend. You work for Him and serve Him with your whole heart and soul. And He has refreshed and restored you to wholeness.
