8/13/13 Psalms 41:2 The Lord Protects You and Calls You Blessed

Psalms 41:2 (NAS)

The LORD will protect him, and keep him alive, And he shall be called blessed upon the earth; And do not give him over to the desire of his enemies.

 

Psalms 41:2 (NIVUS)

The LORD will protect him and preserve his life; he will bless him in the land and not surrender him to the desire of his foes.

  

When the Lord, created man, He breathed His life into the man's lifeless body.  When you decided to put your trust in God, He breathed His life into your dead spirit. The Lord declared you to be alive and you lived.  He quickened you with vitality and revived you from sickness, discouragement, faintness, and death.  Now you live prosperously and continuously grow.
 
You need not fear for your life; for the One who gave you life is also the One who guards and keeps your life.  He shows what you need to do and He interprets those things that you do not understand.  He watches over you constantly and celebrates and treasures you. He sets His boundaries around you to protect and save you.
 
He leads and guides you in the straight way.  With His help, you progress and advance; for you have been made right.  You know yourself to be happy and blessed in the land that your God has given you. You can be assured that your enemies will have no power over you.  Though they dedicate and consecrate themselves to your destruction, the Lord will not let them have their way.  He has appointed you to refreshing and blessing and refreshing and blessing is what you will have.
