Psalm 69:13 (NAS)
But
as for me, my prayer is to Thee, O LORD, at an acceptable time; O God, in the
greatness of Thy lovingkindness, Answer me with Thy saving truth.
Psalm 69:13 (NIVUS)
But
I pray to you, O LORD, in the time of your favor; in your great love, O God,
answer me with your sure salvation.
You have discovered and
know that you can only maintain your walk with the Lord through regular
times of prayer and worship. You send up supplications for yourself and
intercessions for others. You sing hymns and voice entreaties to the Judge of
all the earth.
Even as you pray, you are
learning to wait on God's time to receive your answers. Adonai has a due
season for everything in your life. Your answer may come in the morning, but if
it does not, keep trusting God. You still can look forward to the
afternoon or the evening. Your answer may wait for high tide, but then
again, it may not come until low tide. You must realize that God will
give you what you need and desire at the most acceptable time, a time when His
perfect will shall be accomplished.
It is important for you to
remember that the Lord delights in you and has showered you with His favor. Through
Him, your debt of sin has been satisfied and you live in a reconciled and
perfected state with God. Now when you pray, you know that Almighty God
hears you with abundant mercy. He pays close attention to your requests
and will give you an answer according to His kindness.
You know that the Lord your God
is trustworthy and faithful. His answers to your prayers will come
enveloped in His truth and they will always build you up and support you. Therefore,
continue to trust and believe; for the Lord will bring you the liberty,
deliverance, and prosperity that you seek. He will preserve you and rescue
you. He is your defense, safety, and victory!
